Del Bugotti
Every 10 years or so, in any field you could think of, there is always an individual who surpasses the norm. An individual who strikes fear in the heart of peers due to his exceptional skill. An individual no matter what has happened in his/her life, they've found ways to excel themselves. The last person we could say that was like this is the late great Notorious B.I.G. Although he went through his ups and downs, he still found a way to make beautiful music for the listeners to enjoy. Other honorable mentions are Sean Carter (Jay-Z) and Nasir Jones (Nas). Until this day these men are influencing hip hop's new generation. Jay-Z may have the ballers and hustlers on lock, and every backpacker knows Nas. But there is still one element of hip hop that we're missing. The element that I'm speaking of is the feel good music of the genre. Nowadays, there are more body counts in music records then horror and action flicks. I'm not knocking artists who talk about that particular subject, but lets be serious not everyone is a murderer. So shooting and killing doesn't pertain to every listener of hip-hop. Many have searched for this individual. Some came close and others missed by a long shot. But there is no need to fret, for I have found this man. From the birthplace of hip-hop, you could see a mushroom cloud developing beyond the Tappan Zee Bridge. This mushroom clouds origin is a small county by the name of Rockland. A county where no ones voice has been heard. The reason for this mushroom cloud is an A-Bomb thats been in the making for the past several years. The purpose of this A-Bomb is to help others recognize that there is a new force in New York. The name of this A-Bomb is Del Bugotti. Rapping since the age of 14, this young man has been through the trials and tribulations of the hip-hop game and is ready for a major deal. He's met the snakes, the hypocrites, the leaches, the yes-men, the groupies and the non-believers. The irony of it all is most of them were his "friends". Through his years of grinding, he was a part of 3 different groups. And in all 3 of those groups the dedication and the motivation wasn't there. So due to the fact he wasn't getting any younger, Del put the whole movement on his shoulders. Although its a heavy load, he still manages to keep the movement moving. Del distributes his own music and also promotes hisself. This young man has a classic CD under his belt. The name of this classic CD is "New York". Although he has been receiving grief for the cover, he states that once they hear the title track they shall understand the cover. This CD is packed with great music which means great production and lyrics. If you want to categorize his music, it won't be easy. But the closest category would be "Feel Good Grown Man Music" because he has the ability to create a conscious record, a party record, a street record and a record for the ladies. He also enjoys making all these type of records. He feels noone should be limited when it comes to making music. One thing that really bothers Del is other MCs knocking the next MCs hustle because he isn't fond of his music. He feels this is the reason why New York isn't such a strong force in hip hop anymore. In the mid 90s (wonder years of rap), egos never stopped the hottest NY MCs to come together and make a banging record. Nowadays, you make a record with the wrong person, you might be a victim of a battle verse. Del Bugotti's sole mission is to bring feel good music back to the genre of hip-hop.
